Generation Hope is a nonprofit organization that breaks the cycle of poverty by helping MD/DC/VA – area teen parents graduate from college by providing them with one-on-one mentoring, tuition assistance, and crisis support. They provide scholarships to teen parents who are attending or planning to attend college. They also provide intensive parenting support and literacy interventions to ensure that our Scholars’ children are prepared for kindergarten.
You can learn all about their program at www.supportgenerationhope.org. If you are interested in being involved by becoming a Mentor to a teen parent in college or becoming a volunteer, please contact Michelle Avelino at firstname.lastname@example.org or at (202) 656-9539.
