Women Business Owners of Montgomery County, Maryland

Special Interest Groups (SIGs) are informal groups of WBO members who have businesses in the same field or in related fields. The purpose is to provide a forum that is more intimate and relaxed than regular WBO monthly meetings for the exchange of information among members who have closely related business interests.

The objective of WBO SIGs is to discuss professional issues, share networking events and opportunities, benefit from each other's skills to close a deal, swap referrals, and support each other in a professional manner.

Each SIG establishes and agrees to its own parameters and procedures. Groups generally have a policy that encourages the exchange of business contacts in the interest of supporting one's colleagues but frowns on any use of such information to interfere with the business interests of fellow SIG members.
Interested in joining (or forming) a SIG? Any WBO member who would like to join (or form) a SIG is encouraged to place an announcement in The Networker and on the web site, inviting members with businesses in the same field or related fields to contact her.
