WBO-MC is a great place to promote your business to other local business owners, here are some of the ways you can get the word out about your products and services.
Let other members know about your business by putting an ad in our quarterly Networker newsletter.
If you want your knowledge and expertise to represent you to the community, consider writing articles or a column for the WBO-MC Networker newsletter. It's always nice to show what you can do and lead by example!
Whether you want to attend, present, volunteer, or purchase a table, the Power Conference is the biggest event going for women in business in the DC metro area and WBO-MC play a key role in the conference organizing group.
Bring your cards, brochures, or other promotional materials to the Member Table we set up at meetings.
Practice your elevator speech for meetings, you'll often have a chance to share quickly with the whole group. (We encourage everyone to ask for feedback on their own pitch, and lend other members a hand with their presentation as well.)
Come to lunch meetings with a sense of curiosity about your fellow members and take the time to get to know a few people at each meeting.
If you are a skilled presenter, contact the Program Chair to see if your topic is a good fit for a WBO-MC dinner program. Actionable information, time for Q&A, and a topic that members have been requesting are requirements, so is an educational focus.
Present a Brown Bag Lunch for members only. Small groups of no more than 8 members gather to learn about your business, ask questions, and get to know you--and you have 40 minutes to fill them in. Help the community get to know you by inviting us to bring our lunches and hear about your business at a Brown Bag Lunch. We want to know you and learn about your business--WBO-MC members appreciate the potential of the women's business community and are always exploring new ways to learn and grow.
We welcome meeting door prizes like free product samples, a discount on your services, or gift items. Introduce yourself and your business to the WBO-MC community by giving members and guests an incentive to try your products and services.
All door prize donations are acknowledged during the business card drawing for prizes and you have an opportunity to tell people about your business or services right before the drawing.
Interested in donating a door prize? Contact Program Chair, Laura Rhode.
