College Scholarship for Deserving Female Students

Congratulations to Rosa Sulca, the 2011-12 WBO-MC scholarship winner.

Women Business Owners of Montgomery County sponsor an annual scholarship awarded to a Montgomery College student who is selected by Montgomery College according to WBO-MC criteria.

The award amount is determined annually by the Board (usually at the March or April Board meeting) and the award is based on the following criteria:

• Female student who is resuming her education with a business focus,
• Who demonstrates financial need, and
• Who meets Montgomery College's academic standards.

The WBO-MC Scholarship is administered by the Montgomery College Foundation, established in 1982 as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization of business and community leaders.

The Foundation's single mission is to support Montgomery College, recognized as one of the best two-year colleges in the nation. Montgomery College sees 22,000 new students each fall and has shaped the lives of more than a half-million students who have  passed through its doors over more than 50 years.

WBO-MC contributes scholarship awards directly to the Montgomery College Foundation.
